Basha’s love of art started from a very early age. Her favorite classes were always centered around the creative arts, particularly painting and drawing, winning many awards.

Known to her family and friends as Barby Schwid, she has chosen Basha as her professional name, a Hebrew name given to her at birth.

Basha’s passion for art is intermixed with her love of travel. She has traveled extensively to all seven continents with her husband, photographing the landscapes, people, animals and architecture, using those as inspiration for many of her paintings. She has studied under many award winning artists such as Ned Mueller
